Remeber that time leverage put a british woman in brown face as a part of the plan?
Remeber that time leverage decided the evil surveillance state tech bro using peoples devices to spy on them needed to be chinese?
Remember how asian people only exist in leverage as either victims that need saving or the bad guys?
so i dont know much about ariana grande but having googled her i do remember the controversy around her. she's also pretended in photoshoots to be asian. According to her wikipedia page she's an italian american....so...neither black nor asian. thats problematic to put it lightly

Flamingo Pap Walk: A Comedic Analysis
As a Desi person, it really irks me to see Jessie literally trying to validate that brown face. Comparing "painting someone's white skin tone to match ours" to a costume is WRONG.
And even if she meant no harm, because of what Jessie said, many people will start shrugging the matter and call it "costume". This is disgusting! Some people on Insta have already started justifying it 😬
As for the stunt double, we don't need a white person's opinion on being hired for a job. She could've said no to brown face. That woman is a performer. Surely she must know some poc performers like herself. She could've suggested a poc stunt person for the job. And if she doesn't know, she could've simply declined.
WHAT'S WRONG IS WRONG!
Stop speaking over brown skinned south asians.
The person who should be talking is Eric Heisserer and the people responsible for hiring the Stunt Team 🙂
It's all in the cheeks, tbh.
Idk if anyone has ever adressed this, but here we go. I've seen some people labeling some brown celebs who are relatively light (considering how many dark shades exist in the world) "white passing", even though most of them have tan skin and other ethinic caracteristics that clearly show they aren't white. They are simply light skin or even just lighter skinned when compared to others in their communities. Some examples I saw include Avan Jogia, Zayn Malik, Emeraude Toubia etc...
AND THAT MAKES ME WONDER does this happen because "passing" is relative or because you see so many white people, especially rich white people, fake tanning like trying hard to be brown is a personally trait that you forgot what brown people look like? Idk, just a thought🤔
