Just a friendly little PSA for my buddies who are still using the Blue Bird site during Elon Musk's Steady Descent into Madness.
HEY! So i just got some browser extensions for myself to make reading and writing, and i thought i'd share! (currently, they're only for chrome, i believe? if anyone has Firefox links of these, i'd love to have the link!)
#1, ADHD reader!
ADHD reader is an extension that changes your text from looking like this...
to looking something like this! wowee!
it's called Bionic Text. it's a thing where it bolds the parts of words that your brain needs to read the entire word faster! (if that makes sense, i probably explained it poorly)
#2, Pixie reader!
pixie reader is an extension that makes the internet a whole-lot more neurodivergent-friendly! it lets you change a website's font to help with dyslexia, it has a built-in website reader, it lets you change the spacing between lines of text, it comes with a reading ruler, and it lets you change the tint and saturation of the websites you are using! i really recommend this one if you do a whole-lot of reading like me.
#3, LanguageTool!
LanguageTool is basically a built-in autocorrect for your browser, so you don't misspell words ever again, which is really helpful for me! it's not super customizable, but it does have a good amount of options, and i really like that! it does have a premium mode though, but that part is entirely optional :]
browser extensions i consider essential

9. volume control for bandcamp player

Download Dark Reader for Firefox. Dark mode for every website. Take care of your eyes, use dark theme for night and daily browsing.
Just discovered another nice firefox addon today, which automatically creates "dark mode" for websites by darkening any bright backgrounds. Makes everything much easier on my eyes. :)

Beware! These “Forced” Chrome And Firefox Extensions Are Almost Impossible To Remove
Google Chrome is often labeled as one of the best web browsers around for all the right reasons. Players like Firefox are competing by adding innovative features, but Chrome continues to enjoy an unparalleled popularity. However, this doesn’t mean that Chrome is 100% secure. A security researcher has spotted malicious add-ons that’s almost impossible to delete. These […]

Top browser add-ons to protect your privacy
In this post I’ll be listing some of the best add-ons (and their alternatives) you can install on your browser. These are mainly intended to be used on Firefox, although most of these should be available on other browsers such as Chrome and other Firefox-based browsers as well as other browsers with add-on support. If they aren’t available, I’m sure the equivalent add-on will be available for…
