Clay is the type of brother to not believe what any of the others tell him. Whether they're lying to him or not, he don't believe them

John Dory can get his brothers to fall asleep in minutes. He's got all the tricks that knock them out. They worked when they were kids and still work now that they're adults.

Not only have I been rolling parental ideas around my brain for Brozone, but also their thought processes on not going back to the tree. Makin' up lore based on the very few details we get, as one does lmao

Thoughts like Bruce actually trying to go back to the tree from Vacay Island, possibly to invite his bros to his wedding, but realizing he has no idea where he is in relation to the Troll Tree. Struggling to chose between risking his relationship with Brandy to hunt down his brothers, or wait for them to come find him and build a new life. Eventually he tries to send out post cards, and obviously John is the only one to receive his. But it's also very late

Clay going to leave the Tree like his brothers, but stressing out and getting too freaked out just outside of Bergen Town to go much farther. And then he hears the commotion of Trollstice and the Great Escape, rushing back to try and find Grandma and Branch. But he runs into Viva as she's struggling to protect the Trolls that didn't make it through the tunnels, and he can't NOT help. By the time they end up at the golf course, it's too risky to try and go back. He just has to hope everyone made it ok.

Floyd constantly repeating in his head, just a little longer. Just a few more cities, a few more shows. Quite literally running away from the guilt and pressure. He got to taste freedom, and it was addicting. But when he finally mustered up the courage to go back home, to keep his promise no matter what, he found what JD did. Broken pods, ruined roots, and silence. He eventually managed to find his way back to cities he's performed in, but the journey there is a blur. He has scars from run-ins with who-knows-what, and he's grey. Over the years he writes music to cope work his grief, makes friends, and eventually gains a bit of color until he looks like he does when the brothers reunite.

John Dory, of course, escaped Bergen Town to go hike the Neverglades. When you're alone, it's even easier to lose track of time. Between scavenging for food, fighting off critters, and trying to keep track of his location, JD let time slip away. Whether he met Rhonda before or after he made it back to the Tree, he ended up believing his family were all gone and all he had was Rhonda. After a while he finally recieved the postcard from Bruce, and even without it signed he knew who it was from. He'd listened to Bruce rant about wanting to live on a beach for years. JD let himself hope that at least some of his brothers had lived, but he kept from going to find them because he felt like he didn't deserve it. And why would they want him around?
