in all honesty, with the amount "i wrote this for the lulz" in the film, writing meta based on The Avengers is one fuck of a slippery road to pure nonsense.
we basically have a villain (or a villain-ish minion of a bigger villain) to beat up in every scene and most of his character was built in Thor (the movie) and gets zero development. if some poor soul didn't obsessively watch all the marvel movies (or, like one of my friends, seen most of them, but not Thor. bad luck, uh-huh-huh) they'll think Loki is just a little shit who wants to destroy the earth/midgard.
would they be entirely wrong? ah, heh.
