Bruce and Dick in Young Justice (3/3) - Batman and Nightwing

As mentioned in part one, the interaction between Bruce and Dick grows sparse once Dick becomes Nightwing, but they still share some scenes that show their trust in each other and how much their relationship has grown!

Young Justice 2x1

The League learns that six of them are considered intergalactic criminals. Nightwing realizes that those six Leaguers are the ones that disappeared five years ago for sixteen hours during which they were under Vandal Savage's control. Batman agrees that there is a connection.

Nightwing offers to let the team handle the situation, to which everyone agrees. The League also reminds Nightwing, Superboy, and Miss Martian that they are still welcome to join the Justice League.

Young Justice 2x3

The League and the team infiltrate one of the Krolotean's bases. Nightwing, Batman, Robin, and Batgirl are tasked with taking out the guards. When Nightwing takes over the commando to hunt down Aqualad, Batman tells the rest to listen.

Despite the heroes' best efforts, Black Manta, Aqualad, and the rest of the villains escape. While the team and the League fly back to Mount Justice, Nightwing mentions that the bomb that detonated was of alien origin but not Krolotean. Batman tells him it's on him and the team to find out what is going on, deciding that while the League stands trial for their crimes, the team has to handle Earth.

The Leaguers say their farewells. Nightwing begins by telling Batman to take care, to which Batman replies he was about to say the same to him, Robin and Batgirl. Batman mentions the League might be leaving the most dangerous part to them.

Young Justice 3x8

Nightwing is with the Outsiders. Batman isn't part of the League anymore. Or are they? It's revealed that Nightwing, Batman, Robin, Oracle, Miss Martian, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman have been working together without their teams knowing.

They decided to take a page out of The Light's playbook to fight fire with fire.

Young Justice 3x19

Wonder Woman confronts Batman and the others about going too far. They have gone beyond lying to their teammates and the public, now they are staging false events and creating fake news to make their enemies look bad. Batman justifies the extreme measures by claiming they have entered a war.

Young Justice 3x22

After the Outsiders run-in with Gretchen Goode, Dick suffers from the effects of the X-Pit. He has developed a high fever. Bruce and the family are with him while he fights for his life.

Young Justice 3x26

Nightwing calls the heroes to the watchtower, surprised when so many heed his call - even those who can't physically be there. Batman tells him that he commands more respect than he thinks he does.

Nightwing suggests Black Lightning as the new Justice League leader. Wonder Woman seconds the choice, and the other Leaguers agree. Black Lightning accepts the position only if Batman is in or out. There can be no middle ground and secrets anymore. Batman agrees to fold Batman Inc. back into the League. Nightwing is visibly happy about his decision.

BRUDICK Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne

Dick had always known his relationship with Bruce did not feel like father and son. Bruce and Batman was his mentor and guardian in the worst time of his life. Once Dick was an adult he was able to piece together how he felt and realised he was deeply and completely in love with Bruce. He worried what people would say, how they would come for Bruce and accuse of him of crossing the line. In Bruce’s arms he found safety, he felt understood and loved but that wasn’t always the case. Dick falls in love with his whole being, puts everything on the table and gives every piece of himself. Bruce is secretive, mysterious and always questioning the morality of their relationship. When Bruce finally freeze up on Dick it crushed the younger man. Not only did he loose the love of his life but also his mentor.
