March Art Workout!

Different Brushes!

Monthly Challenge: Try the same drawing over or do different drawings using a brush you have never used before. Use a single brush/brush type that you haven't used before for the whole drawing.

I'm using procreate and I'm sure everyone has different programs or traditional methods so I'm not going to list the brushes I've always wanted to play with here, but offer a general style to try. Can be just a sketch or a full picture - totally up to you!

Additional Weekly Challenge:

Week 1 - Work with only pen type brushes

Week 2 - Work with only charcoal and pencil type brushes

Week 3 - Work with only painting style brushes (oil, acrylic, I know procreate and other programs have a variety of different brushes so this one is pretty loose)

Week 4 - Use one of each type brush in a picture (bonus points if we can see them all - but really there are no points, the only point is to have fun with it and break out of your comfort zone). Or shit, do something wacky. Draw something using only dots. Be free!

no like I need to rant, this genuinely put a bit of energy back in me, I haven’t willingly done anything harder than program and draw in so long, and then I find this and finally get smth engaging to play with which gives me a spark of energy back that ive been riding. I almost never make fanart so please consider this a badge of honour
