When Jason or Dick or any of the Batkids pretend to be indifferent to Bruce, but when they’re sick or injured or think they’re about to die in a fic? and then they call out for Bruce??

Do you think that Dick Grayson would be like a Helen of Troy figure?
😂😂 yeah I guess he is!!
There's actually a REALLY good fic about this - Dick of Troy by miss_aphelion who writes fantastic fics.
Alien royalty always seems to have a thing for Dick.
Titans (2016) Issue #24
Not even the slightest bit fazed that the first thing an alien prince said when he saw Dick is "Oh, and you're very pretty, too."
Titans (2016) Issue #24
An alien prince. Wait, wait...yup, still no surprise there!
But yes, overall the concept of Dick being a Helen of Troy figure is so accurate because I feel like everyone falls in love with him or fights over him.
The Titans vs Bruce, the villains (slade, owlman, etc) vs Bruce, the heroes in between themselves (Kori vs Kara, Damian vs Tim, Barbara vs everyone), civilians vs heroes (Rose vs Sophia, Sophia vs Barbara), and practically everyone. It's like a constant back and forth pull between different groups over who Dick belongs to.
Melanus started a war for Helena and he recruited past suitors who failed to win her hand in order to fight the war. If DCU was structured with more war-like tendencies like Ancient Greece, it would be the biggest, bloodiest war but truth be told, it would be worse than that because it would be a battle royale. Everyone's in it for themselves and him.
And a good old fashioned canon throwback!

Boy Howdy beer was a spoof for Creem magazine. Wasn't really a beer.
a couple times a week a little bruce springsteen in my head just screams "AND I HAVE BROKEN ALL YOUR WINDOWS AND I HAVE RAMMED THROUGH ALL YOUR DOORS, BUT WHO AM I TO ASK YOU TO LICK MY SORES???? AND YOU SHOULD KNOW IT'S TRUE I CAME FOR YOU!! FOR YOU!! I CAME FOR YOU!! BUT YOU DID NOT NEED MY URGENCY!!" and internally i collapse to my knees and weep and then just like go on about my business
Latest purchase from the Friends Of the Library sale. It was made after Born To Run, features a list of his songs (including b-sides), and it’s missing a few pages at the beginning. Almost passed on it because I don’t need a 35 year old Springsteen coffee table book, but the card in the back reminded me it’s an artifact. It was a hot ticket in September 1985.
