On Valentine’s Day 1978, Bryan Trottier showed no love to the Kings.

After L.A. grabbed an early lead, Trottier responded with two goals, including the power-play game winner, as the Islanders skated away with a 3-2 victory.

The two-goal effort was part of Trottier’s massive 123-point season, one that saw him finish runner-up for the Hart Trophy before winning it the following year.
