these guys suck and here’s why
they called themselves Gambit because they thought it was cool. from left to right in the first one: finch, karman, mars, and cecil (cecilia)
finch: finch is an assassin for hire and the closest thing this group has to a leader. she’s really good at what she does and she makes crazy money. she’s a frequent hire of einri, the guy who’s like a mayor but if he was the mayor for way too long. anyways. she’s trans mtf, and she uses a lot of the money she gets from getting her targets to fund her transition. that’s so baller. she also uses the money to rent out their shared apartment, and the yknow. other things. she’s like if cupcakes creepypasta pinkie pie was less “written by a 14 year old in 2013”, if that makes sense.
karman: he’s the “finance manager”, aka he went to college for a few years for business or whatever and then got into heavy student debt because he just couldn’t stop gambling his student loans away. he still gambles hardcore but he’s better at it now, smarter. he’s kind of like if the worst guy you knew from high school was actually alright to hang around with if you just don’t listen when he starts to mansplain things. he’s alright i promise. another thing he does is keep track of cecil’s racing career, illegally betting and gambling with that as well. it’s a system.
cecil: cecilia, cecil for convenience, races. god does she ever love her car. she’s really good at it too. she doesn’t talk much, only when it’s important, but she’s been kicked out of bars for getting into fights with people for various reasons, most of them really not worth a fight but who am i to judge a woman. her and mars are siblings, but they only came in contact again after meeting through finch, it’s a long story of family drama, not terribly important to either of their stories
mars: god what’s this guys deal. he’s finch’s assistant, kind of. no one really knows what he does, or how he got those burn scars all over his body and face. thankfully he knows a person or two that makes specialty masks, which he uses as his shield. the scars don’t really hurt, he just doesn’t like displaying them. he’s scared of scaring people. he’s lowkey a softie, very eccentric, like finch but if her personality was a diet version and more contained. his real name is micah, but only cecil knows that.
they’re like a money laundering if the front was a large apartment in the city centre of Yorn and none of their business there happened at all. since finch is “tight” with the mayor, their activities aren’t cracked down on by law enforcement. the only time they’re checked for what they do is by other people, but that’s not really a concern for them
finch is entirely infatuated with karman, for some reason. he doesn’t reciprocate or even really care, but he’s not a dick about it. he lets her dote on him and give him gifts, and he even takes care of her in some ways in return. mars doesn’t feel comfortable enough with himself to have a partner, and cecil has a little freak named alek that she’s sweet on. he knows about their illegal stuffs but he doesn’t care one bit . heart emoji.
rapid fire fun facts about them: finch runs incredibly cold and always wears no less than 3 layers at any given time. karman lived with his grandparents and has ordered special protection on them so they stay as safe as possible. mars’s hair isn’t dyed, it’s a result from. whatever the fuck happened to him. joker style. cecil has a vast collection of sunglasses that she only wears to fancy events, and they’re kept well secured.
