UPPER-CLASS MALE
George: "So. Clive. Ready?" Clive: "What for?"
George: "Number of past girlfriends?"
Clive: "What? Oh, God!" George: "Between ten and 20? More than Nick Clegg?" Clive: "Define girlfriend. What is this?" George: "Any weird obsessions?" Clive: ¨Like?" George: "Train spotting, Star Trek, really big diggers." Clive: "None." George: "Julie Andrews - yes or no?"
Clive: "Well..." George: "She can run properly, she can throw and her hair is short." Clive: "What are you saying?"
George: "Well, sometimes with the upper-class English male, when it comes down to it, the ideal girl...is a boy.

I just wanna thank the writers, the cast, the costume designers, the makeup artists, the directors, and everybody else involved in black sails for they have made the best tv show that I, personally, have ever seen. They put the standards so high I don't think I'll ever be able to watch another show without making comparisons. They wrote and portraied each character perfectly, made them human, real, and avoided sexuality and gender stereotypes. One of the most important things in television is representation, if not THE most important thing, and the writers knew it and included a gay man, a lesbian, two bisexuals and diverse characters as mains and they were all badass. They weren't always likeable, but they didn't need to be, in order to remain great characters. Every storyline, every relationship, every tiny detail was so well thought and nothing was ever out of place. Each season just got better and better, the building of the relationships was as entertaining as the battle scenes (which were also perfectly studied) and I just ran out of words to say how much I am thankful to this show. The cast -and what a cast- was brilliant, their performances outstanding and they're all so kind to the fans, giving us recognition and actually enjoying our theories and interpretations. I'm committed to this show. I was late to party (only started it during the hiatus between 3rd and 4th season) but I'm so happy I joined this fandom. Now it is you that I wanna thank. You guys literally taught me to always read between the lines, pay attention to every single word and detail, to not be afraid of expressing theories and sharing my point of view with everyone. It's been the most amazing experience being part of this family and I will always be thankful for it, no matter what. Thank you so very much, to every single one of you. I'm committed to you.
