Akutagawa now casually helps people. I love that he has changed but deep inside he is still the same person. He will save someome but he is not going to all cute about it. And that outfit really brings out his best.

I knew Atsushi would freak out!!! Having Akutagawa there to calm him down reminds me of when Dazai snapped him out of a panic attack....(Ps: aku is not letting Atsushi out of his sight now, he has to literally hold him to make sure they don't separate again). "I see in that case, I apologise 🙄" they are Sassy x Sassy love it!

I think Aku's been itching to fight with Atsushi again lol. This was his time to shine. But ssrly, if he was not there poor Atsushi would still be freaking out for not being able to save people, he is NOT good at looking at the big picture.

He looks so gentle lately....it's crazy. Also I see what you did there sir, acting like you don't care. You DO care Akutagawa, we all saw you screaming for "Return him to me". I absolutely love it when Atsushi has his moral panics, that is such a important part of his character and Akutagawa understands him perfectly and knows what to say to get him out of it.

"your actions are just" the same thing akutagawa used to hate about atsushi is something he now admires even though he thinks its misplaced. also is it just me or does he look like he feels bad that atsushi can't save everyone even though its the reality of it

Regarding the punch in chapter 125,

That punch was really just Akutagawa telling Atsushi to get his shit together, and it’s honestly pretty fitting for them

I think it’s maybe not the most normal thing but it’s not bad, and it’s not like Atsushi can’t handle being hit (plus one time Dazai literally slapped him across the face to get sense into him..and Dazai trained Akutagawa). I don't think it's a step back in their relationship or Akutagawa's character at all either

Akutagawa is the only person who can snap Atsushi out of an indecisive spiral and essentially comfort him (at least right now). Maybe there's not a lot of comfort but Atsushi knows he's not alone if he has Akutagawa by his side, again, finally alive and breathing. Things are going to shit and both of Sskk know that, and Akutagawa is the perfect person to ground Atsushi and keep him functioning

It’s a very interesting view of their relationship bc it says a lot about how they’re actually so balanced with each other, and how they work better together than individually

Overall it’s really cool development because it also says a lot about their understanding of each other Like Akutagawa knows Atsushi enough to where he knows exactly how to make him snap out of things

Plus he knew that's what Atsushi needed and that it wouldn't actually hurt Atsushi (that much at least like cmon Atsushi isn't gonna keel over after one punch)

Considering their situation, it makes a lot of sense. Akutagawa would probably be gentler if the situation was different lol
