There's smth abt the way ranposano is written in the canon that i js can't fathom (felix mention? /Hj) into words, like their duo is so anti Misogynist i love it. The way ranpo saved yosano had literally zero toxic masculinity in it unlike in stereotypical ships where the male dominant character saves the female submissive character. But in ranposano, none of them are 'leading' or 'following', the scene where ranpo gets her out of mori's grasp holds no roles, neither of them are leading or following one another it's js filled with mutual understanding, and that scene wasn't written to make yosano depend on ranpo, it was written to show us how yosano got through her difficulties. Ranpo didn't js save her he gave her a new hope to start her life again and the fact that the series uses it show how close they are instead of how much of a 'stronger' character ranpo is is epic
And i love it sm that they aren't romantically involved in canon, not that it'd be bad if they were but we rarely see platonic friendship between men and women in media.
