I finally caught up with the second season of Fawx & Stallion and yall they knocked it right out of the park. Hilarious writing, the perfect blend of comedy and drama, and the voice acting was simply superb. I can't get into the details of the skills required to pull off the S2E6 twist because it reveals that twist by nature. But I WILL say this episode is where everything comes together and simply SHINES.

Robert Kauzlaric and Tom Crowley (as Sherlock and Watson) especially knock it out of the park. The merriment (and memorial) park. It's so good to see an adaptation made by folks who know these characters are hopelessly in love. 🥰

what does it look like to be a black Hound? how and why would conditioning be changed, if at all? what are the implications of it? how would the narrative and world need to be warped to accommodate it? does it even get acknowledged? If so, why? If not, why?

these are (functionally) the same questions I had when I was writing within Empty Spaces in 2022. back then, the answers were - to be polite - incredibly disappointing. so much so that it was one of the biggest reasons I burned out, and is the reason I immediately went looking for kinfolk here.

ultimately, I have to write the stories I want to see because nobody else is going to do it for me. nothing about that has changed or will change.

A handful of myopic trans girls online made up "transmisogyny theory:" misogyny is actually a type of transmisogyny and not vice versa; then they also point at others and do the "transmisogyny affected/exempt" thing. Found em on Tumblr. Joy. Folks wanna kill intersectionality so badly it's annoying.

"Affected/exempt" is so presumptuous, simplified, wholly allergic to systemic analysis and intra-community solidarity, and keeps becoming the more woke way to ask users you're bickering with if they're a boy or a girl, for the purposes of tribalism and shutting down dialogue. Can't wait for it to age like milk.

If someone who is not a trans woman, regardless of their sex, is mistaken as one and treated poorly according to that specifically, have they been affected by transmisogyny? I would say yes. And that means you can't confidently point at someone else and tell them it can't happen to them. My 2 cents.

I am not criticizing this framework because my evil vagina makes me hate you. I am warning you, as someone who lives and experiences the other entire half of the trans experience, that it doesn't work. Your earwax is going to compact and make you deaf if you don't get your fingers out of there.
