Why do you run?
There are several reasons apart from health benefits for which I run. Firstly, it was a challenge for me to show both my detractors and well-wishers that when someone is sidelined, ignored and isolated, they can still rise. Secondly, it has helped me to make several friends across the globe.

What are your PBs? Marathon 2h59m (Gold Coast 2015); 2015 Coast2Kosci 240km - I finished woohoo!
Why do you run? I run for enjoyment and to keep fit. It's a great social outlet and has taken me to many awesome places.
Name a celebrity/famous person that you would want to run with and why? Eddie Izzard - he's a stocky, brilliant English comedian with enough jokes to last many marathons. Check out his marathon exploits for charity - inspiring!!
What advice do you have for people joining your pace group? Please say hello at the start line and we can have a chat about the race and answer any questions or concerns. When we're out there I'm very happy to give you some encouragement and advice. Back of the pack is a lot of fun - lots of space, short queues at the aid stations, and we'll have music! I'm also a physiotherapist.
Jess Siegle
What are your PBs? 3:44 marathon. Dubbo 13:39 100km. NorthFace
Why do you run? I run to fill my body with endorphins! Natures greatest drug and it's FREE!
Name a celebrity/famous person that you would want to run with and why? The little mermaid (when she became human)...I've been obsessed with the soundtrack sonce I was a child so it'd be a dream come true to run along with her and belt out the melodies together!
What advice do you have for people joining your pace group? A marathon is a special event and it begins when it hurts, when your mind tells you it's too hard. That's what makes finishing it so incredible! Stick with me with and I'll help you to the end.

Chris Michael Jackson
What are your PBs? 10k - 37.17 C2S - 52.17 Berlin marathon - 3.00.42
Why do you run? I run because walking is too slow, skipping is fun but weird to do in public and roller blades were so in the 90s.
Name a celebrity/famous person that you would want to run with and why? I'd like to run with Zac Efron. I'd assume by just being in his presence I'd also get an amazing six pack and women chasing after me. He's such a dream boat...
What advice do you have for people joining your pace group? Don't drink milk before the race. Say hello, or hi, gday or even a wave is nice. Pacers are human too so trust your body, your training and what your game plan is for the day. The pacer may have a slightly different idea but can generally off some good advice... Like no milk.
Stuart Spencer
What are your PBs? 10k 35ish, City 2 Surf 50ish, Half Marathon 80ish, Marathon 3 hours-ish
Why do you run? Freedom to run where and when I want, see the neighbourhood and explore the local sights when I'm travelling.
Name a celebrity/famous person that you would want to run with and why? The guy who invented beer (the other reason why I run)
What advice do you have for people joining your pace group? Go out steady - if you feel like you're pushing it at the start you're probably going too hard. The run doesn't start until 30km!
