🌸Summary: Divorced and lost, Jin grapples with self-discovery and single fatherhood. Then, sunshine arrives in the form of Hoseok, helping him explore his desires and build a found family. Their love faces challenges - ex-wife drama, societal disapproval - but together they prove love and acceptance can bloom even in unexpected gardens.
would Jungkook date/settle down with a girl who didn't want kids?
I think the way we see it is that Jungkook is someone who always assumes he will have children when he's older. Like a lot of people, he might not really analyse the reasons why this might be or even think to question it. So, I think he would be quite shocked if he was dating someone and later found out they didn't want children. He'd find it hard to wrap his head around the reason why. In contrast, I think Namjoon, Hoseok, Taehyung and Yoongi would intellectually be able to 'get it' if someone said they didn't. Even if this goes against how they feel. For example, I think everyone except Yoongi would actively want children at some point, with Yoongi being more indifferent and taking the stance of, if it happens it happens.
Not being able to have children is another topic altogether, but I think most of the members would find it difficult to be with someone who didn't want children in some capacity, even if it meant adopting. I do think Jungkook, however, would perhaps be able to handle it even though I do think he wants them. If he really loved someone, he'd have to analyse whether they were more important to him than the idea of having children and I think if it was with someone like Young-soon, he'd actually realise they were more important.
A/n: I had a lot of fun writing this as I love fluffy stuff! Sorry to whoever requested it as its taken a while to get up but I’ve been super busy at the moment!

Kim Seokjin/Jin:
The sound of Jin’s hand slapping down on your thigh filled the room along with the sounds of your laughter. Your son came running towards you after hearing the smack. “Mummy are you okay?” Your son questioned.
“Yes. Why?” You were confused as to why he was asking.
“Daddy hit your leg and I thought he was hurting you.” Your son looked sad, yet concerned for your safety.
“Oh no dude!” Jin butted in. “Mummy told me a funny joke and I did it accidentally”. He reassured your son to make sure he knew that Jin would never hurt you on purpose.
“As long as it doesn’t happen again. I don’t like seeing mummy sad or hurt”. He climbed up on the sofa and settled on your lap.
“I promise it won’t. I don’t like seeing mummy sad or hurt either” Jin replied ruffling his hair. You simply sat and smiled. You loved your boys.
Min Yoongi/Suga:
“DADDY” a little voice screamed from behind you and Yoongi.
“Baby girl what’s the matter?” Yoongi questioned.
“You hit mummy on her bottom and that’s not very nice”. Your daughter stuck out her bottom lip and forrowed her brows. You had to put your hand over your mouth to stop yourself from laughing. The last thing you expected was to see your little girl shouting at Yoongi after he’d given you a gentle spank as he walked in the kitchen.
“No darling, daddy was just being silly. He likes to play jokes on me sometimes”. Your daughter looked up at you confused.
“I don’t think that’s a very funny joke”. Yoongi has no idea what to say. He was just as confused as his daughter.
“I would never do anything to hurt mummy okay?” Your daughter nodded and hugged Yoongi’s leg. “Now go carry on playing. I’ll be there in a second”. He rubbed the top of her head and she ran off back to the living room.
Jung Hoseok/J-Hope:
You heard a loud scream from the doorway after Hobi had playfully tapped you round the back of the head with a magazine. You both turned to look thinking something had happened to your son. He stood with his arms folded looking very angry. “Whats wrong?” you questioned confused as to why your son was acting odd.
“He hit you with that magazine” you son said pointing at Hobi.
“No little man! I was being silly. It was a joke” Hobi went over to your son and sat on the floor so they were eye to eye. “I would never, ever, ever do anything to hurt mummy”. Your son let out a little ‘hmm’.
“Okay” he replied and turned away. “Oh and just to let you know, boys shouldn’t hit girls”. With that your son quickly skipped off back to his bedroom as if nothing had ever happened.
You and Hobi couldn’t help but laugh. He was definitely his father’s child.
Kim Namjoon/RM:
Namjoon’s hands were either side of your head as he squeezed your cheeks. Just as went to kiss you a hand tugged at his trouser leg.
“Daddy” a little voice chirped. You both looked down at your son.
“Yes son?” Namjoon knelt down infront of your son and looked him in the eyes.
“Please don’t squish mummy’s head like that. It might hurt her, and mummies shouldn’t get hurt”. The statement your son just came out with made your heart flutter a little bit.
“You’re right. I shouldn’t squish mummy’s head like that. I’m very sorry” Namjoon looked up at you winked.
“It’s alright. Thank you for looking out for me dude” you smiled at your son.
“Anything for you mummy”. Namjoon picked your son up and took you into a group hug. “Daddy don’t squish my head either”. You and Namjoon gently laughed at your son.
Park Jimin/Jimin:
Jimin gently pushed your shoulders, and you being dramatic you fell backwards so you we’re lying opposite Jimin on the sofa. You were both laughing until your daughter came up to Jimin with her arms folded and an angry look on her face. “What do you think you’re doing?” Your daughter questioned Jimin. He laughed but was confused.
“Mummy told me a silly joke and I didn’t like it so I pushed her” he answered your daughter.
“That’s not very nice”. Your daughters arms moved onto her hips as she scowled at Jimin. He tried to hold his laughter in.
“He didn’t hurt me cupcake. I promise. I’m fine look” you waved your arms and legs about to let your daughter know you we’re fine.
“Please daddy... do not to that again”. She let go of her angry look and looked sort of sad now. Jimin looked into her eyes.
“I promise!” He pulled her up onto the sofa and cuddled her.
Kim Taehyung/V:
Tae would jokingly punch you on the arm after you did a silly impression of him. Little did he know his daughter was stood in the door watching. She came running over. “Daddy no! Don’t hit mummy!” She shouted standing in between you and Tae.
“No, no, no baby. It was a joke. I didn’t mean to hurt mummy” he crouched down so he was at eye level with your daughter. She didn’t look convinced. She raised her eyebrow at Tae. “Seriously baby. I love mummy too much to hurt her”.
“Promise me.” your daughter put her hands on her hips and you tried not to laugh at how sassy she was.
“Promise!” Tae replies kissing her forehead.
“I think he should go on the naughty step mummy. It’s not nice to hit”. You daughter looked up at you.
“I agree gorgeous”. You laughed and winked at Tae
Jeon Jungkook/Jungkook:
Thinking your daughter had gone to sleep, Jungkook had pushed you up against the hallway wall. Things were just flowing nicely until you heard “DADDY NO”. You both looked towards your daughters room.
“Sweetie why aren’t you asleep?” Jungkook questioned walking towards her.
“That doesn’t matter. Why are you pushing mummy around?” She stood angrily staring at Jungkook.
“We’re playing a game of...” he paused trying to think of what to say.
“Who’s the strongest!” You butted in helping Jungkook out. “I think daddy won”. You daughter looked confused yet she seemed to believe you.
“Grown ups are strange”. She took her teddy and cuddled it closer turning back around into her room.
“I’ll come tuck you in sweetie” Jungkook said to his daughter standing up. He quickly turned around to look at you, simply shaking his head and rolling his eyes before following your daughter into her room.

The warm, golden light of the setting sun filtered through the window, casting a soft glow on the corner table where Jin and Jimin sat. The bustling café was filled with the gentle murmur of conversation. Jin's fingers traced the rim of his coffee cup, his movements betraying the nervous energy that coursed through him. His eyes darted around the space, unable to settle on any one thing for long.
"Hey," Jimin said softly, leaning forward and resting his elbows on the table. His red hair framed his face, and the glasses perched on his nose gave him an air of quiet wisdom. "How have you been holding up since the divorce, Jin?" His voice was filled with empathy, and his concern was evident in the way he looked at his friend.
Jin took a deep breath, finally meeting Jimin's gaze. He appreciated the support and understanding that Jimin provided as a fellow single parent. "To be honest, it's been... confusing," he admitted hesitantly, his voice barely audible above the hum of the café. "I've been spending a lot of time thinking about who I am and what I want."
Jimin nodded encouragingly, urging Jin to continue. It was rare for Jin to open up like this, but Jimin had always been there to lend a listening ear when needed.
"Since the divorce, well before the divorce really, I've found myself... attracted to men," Jin confessed, his cheeks flushing a delicate shade of pink. He took a deep breath, his hands trembling as he finally spoke the words that had been weighing on his mind for weeks. As the words left his lips, a wave of relief washed over him, but it was quickly followed by a surge of fear and uncertainty. “Soo-Min and I only got married because she got pregnant. And that was my first time with…anyone.”
Jimin’s brows lifted, surprised at the confession. While he may have wondered, he never wanted to assume. A jumble of thoughts and emotions tumbled through his mind, and he quickly tried to sort through them. The biggest thought was that Jin felt enough comfort and love from him that he confided this significant truth to him.
A gentle, understanding smile graced Jimin's lips as he spoke to Jin. His small mouth opened, revealing perfectly white teeth and a comforting tone. "Jin," he began softly, "I can only imagine how difficult this must have been for you. I am grateful that you chose to confide in me." Jimin's warm gaze met Jin's, waiting patiently for his response. "How are you feeling?" he asked with genuine concern in his voice.
The steam from their coffee cups swirled around them like wisps of secrets shared between old friends. Jin's fingers traced the rim of his cup, the warmth grounding him as he searched for the right words to continue. "I guess I'm just... scared," he admitted, his voice wavering with vulnerability. "I've always been taught that there's a certain way things should be, and now I'm questioning everything."
Jimin leaned back in his chair, his red hair catching the light filtering through the café window as he considered Jin's confession. He reached across the table, placing a reassuring hand on Jin's. "Take your time to explore these feelings, Jin. There's no rush," he said softly, his eyes filled with empathy.
Jin looked down at their intertwined hands, comforted by the warmth of Jimin's touch. His heart swelled with gratitude for the unwavering support Jimin had provided over the years, particularly since becoming a fellow single parent. It was rare to find someone who truly understood the unique challenges they faced.
"Thank you, Jimin," Jin murmured, his eyes meeting Jimin's once more. They held each other's gaze for a moment, the connection between them stronger than ever. "I can't tell you how much it means to have a friend like you in my life."
Jimin's warm and genuine smile transformed his face into something even more beautiful. "I'll always be here for you, Jin, no matter what," he promised, gently squeezing Jin's hand. “Your happiness is important to me."
In that cozy corner of the bustling café, surrounded by the comforting hum of conversation, Jin felt the icy tendrils of fear begin to recede.
Golden sunlight filtered through the trees, casting dappled shadows on Hoseok and Jungkook as they sat side by side on a park bench. The sounds of their laughter mingled with the sweet melody of birdsong, filling the air around them with joy.
"Jungkook, you should have seen Jin at the playground," Hoseok enthused, his brown eyes alight with excitement. "His kind eyes were so gentle like he could see right into your soul. And Eun-Ji... her laughter was infectious. It made me feel alive."
Jungkook's grin spread across his face, teasingly raising an eyebrow at his friend. "Sounds like someone's got a little crush," he remarked playfully, poking Hoseok in the ribs.
"Yah!" Hoseok retaliated with a light nudge; his cheeks flushed with color. "It's not just a crush, okay? I really want to get to know them better. Jin seems like such a caring person, and Eun-Ji is an absolute delight. I can't help but feel drawn to them. And out texts! I can’t describe the overwhelming giddiness that I feel when I get a text from him."
In that moment, Hoseok's thoughts wandered to the way Jin had interacted with his daughter, the tenderness in his touch and the warmth in his smile. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was something special about this man, something worth exploring.
"Hey, I'm not judging," Jungkook replied, resting a reassuring hand on Hoseok's shoulder. "You deserve all the happiness in the world, hyung. If Jin and Eun-Ji bring that to you, then go for it. Just remember to take things slow – relationships can be complicated, especially when kids are involved."
Hoseok nodded, appreciating Jungkook's advice. He knew his friend was right; embarking on a new relationship required time and patience. But despite the challenges that lay ahead, Hoseok couldn't help but feel a sense of hope and possibility. In Jin's kind eyes, he saw the promise of a connection that could grow into something beautiful if only given the chance.
"Thanks, Jungkook," Hoseok murmured, his heart swelling with gratitude for his friend's support. "I'll keep that in mind."
As they sat on that park bench, bathed in the warmth of the afternoon sun, Hoseok couldn't help but feel that his life was on the verge of something new. Sunlight glinted off the carousel's gleaming horses in front of them, and Hoseok's eyes sparkled with anticipation. He leaned in towards Jungkook, his voice filled with excitement.
"I'm going to invite Jin and Eun-Ji to spend a day at the amusement park with me," he said, his heart racing at the thought of spending more time with them. "It'll be the perfect opportunity for us all to get to know each other better."
"Sounds like a great idea, hyung," Jungkook replied, smiling warmly at his friend. "Why don't you make it a group outing and suggest he invite Jimin and his child too? I'm sure they'd love to tag along." He stretched his legs out in front of him on the park bench, his dark blue hair falling over his eyes in a playful manner.
Hoseok nodded enthusiastically, already imagining the joy-filled laughter that would surround them as they explored the park together. "That's a fantastic idea, Jungkook," he agreed. "The more, the merrier!"
Meanwhile, inside the cozy café, Jin and Jimin continued their conversation, their voices blending seamlessly with the soft background chatter. As Jin fiddled with his coffee cup, his nervous gaze met Jimin's understanding eyes.
"Jimin," he began hesitantly, "I know Eun-Ji's happiness is my top priority, but I can't help but worry about how my… feelings for Hoseok might affect her. What if she doesn't understand or feels threatened by our relationship?"
Jimin leaned forward, resting his chin on his interlaced fingers. "Jin, just take things slowly. Check in with Eun-Ji often and make sure she is comfortable and secure with it all," he advised, his voice gentle yet firm. "Remember, communication is key. Open up to her, let her know what's going on, and be there for her as she adjusts to the changes."
Jin took a deep breath, absorbing Jimin's wise words. His friend was right – he needed to prioritize his daughter's well-being, even as he explored the burgeoning connection with Hoseok. As he slowly exhaled, a sense of calm washed over him, replacing the confusion that had been swirling within.
"Thank you, Jimin," Jin said quietly, his gratitude evident in his eyes. "You've always been there for me, and I appreciate your advice more than you know."
Jimin smiled warmly, reassuringly squeezing his friend's shoulder. "Of course, Jin," he replied. We're in this together, you know? We, single dads, have to stick together."
"Thank you, Jimin," Jin said softly, his eyes conveying the depth of his gratitude. "I don't know what I would do without you."
Sitting on the park bench, skin dappled with golden sun rays, they excitedly discussed the details of the potential amusement park outing.
"Alright, so we'll go next Saturday?" Jungkook suggested, his long dark blue hair swaying gently in the breeze. "That should give everyone enough time to clear their schedules, right?"
"Perfect!" Hoseok exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. His tousled brown hair seemed to dance with his excitement. "I can't wait to spend more time with Jin and Eun-Ji. This is going to be so much fun!"
Jungkook grinned, watching as Hoseok's shih tzu playfully chased a butterfly nearby. "Just remember what we talked about earlier, Hobi," he reminded his friend. "Take things easy with Jin. You don't want to overwhelm him or Eun-Ji."
Hoseok nodded, his expression softening as he thought of Jin's kind eyes and Eun-Ji's infectious laughter. "Of course," he agreed. "I want to be there for them, not just as a friend but as someone who genuinely cares about their well-being and is hoping for more time with them."
"Good," Jungkook said, patting Hoseok on the back. "I'm sure everything will work out just fine."
"Alright, Jungkook. I should probably head home now and contact Jin to see if he is open to the outing. Thanks, Kookie," Hoseok replied, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.
With a fierce hug, they parted ways.
Hoseok walked down the street, his gait as light and carefree as the breeze that tousled his brown hair. His laughter from earlier still echoed in his ears, and the anticipation of introducing Jin and Eun-Ji to his world brought an irrepressible smile to his face. As he passed by the spot in the park where they had first met, he couldn't help but think back to the moment when their eyes had locked, and something inexplicable had sparked between them.
Mickey trotted alongside Hoseok, his tail wagging enthusiastically from his adventures at the park today. Hoseok glanced down at his faithful companion, his eyes filled with affection.
"Ready for our big adventure, Mickey?" Hoseok asked, grinning at the excited dog. "We're going to make some beautiful memories together, I just know it."
The kitchen's dim lighting cast soft shadows on the walls as Jin and Eun-Ji bustled around, preparing their favorite meal together. The comforting smells of garlic and sesame oil filled the air, mingling with the sounds of sizzling vegetables in the pan.
"Daddy, can I help with anything?" Eun-Ji asked eagerly, her eyes shining with excitement.
"Of course, my little sous chef," Jin replied with a smile, handing over a wooden spoon for stirring and dragging over a small step stool for her to stand on. "You're getting quite good at this."
Eun-Ji beamed with pride as she stirred the vegetables. Her tiny hands worked diligently to ensure they didn’t burn. As they cooked together, Jin couldn't help but reflect on how much their lives had changed since the divorce. They had become their own family in every sense of the word, the worry that used to fill Jin at Eun-Ji’s mother not being around long since gone.
"You know what, Daddy?" Eun-Ji suddenly piped up, breaking into Jin's thoughts. "I think we should invite Jimin and your new friend Hoseok over for dinner one night. They've never tried your famous stir-fry!"
Jin chuckled at his daughter's suggestion. "That's a great idea, sweetheart. I'm sure they would love it."
Moving pretty seamlessly around each other, the pair finished making their dinner and settled at the simple dinner table situated between the kitchen and living area. As Eun-Ji set the table, Jin decided to indulge and moved the vase of daisies that Eun-Ji had begged him to buy at the market earlier to the center table. He grabbed a candle from the bookshelf, lit it, and set it down next to them.
They settled down across from each other, ready to dig into the meal they had made together. Jin couldn't help but gaze fondly at his daughter as the candlelight cast shadows across her pillowy cheeks. She munched happily, oblivious to the adoration in her father's eyes.
The peaceful setting was interrupted by the jarring peal of Jin’s phone as it rang from its place where it was left on the kitchen counter. He felt his daughter’s eyes track his movements as Jin stood up to grab the device.
He leaned his hip against the counter and swiped his thumb across the screen, answering the call. “Hello?”
Jin heard the sound of a dog barking through the speaker before the sound of a familiar voice filtered into his ear. “Hi, Jin. It’s Hoseok. Sorry if I called at a bad time. I figured this was better than texting.”
“Yeah, that’s alright. You just caught me as we were sitting down for dinner,” Jin reassured.
Hoseok’s voice felt infectious with energy as it came again, “Well, I won’t keep you long since it is late. I just wanted to see if you and Eun-Ji would want to join me this weekend at the local amusement park?”
Jin is stunned into silence. His mind replayed his confession to Jimin, but he honestly did not think that something like this would happen so soon after accepting himself.
It was only after Hoseok’s voice rushed back through the speaker that he realized he hadn’t said anything in several moments. “It’s totally cool if you want to invite your friend, um, Jimin, and his son, too. I want you and Eun-Ji to feel comfortable, of course.”
A nervous smile split Jin’s face. Glancing at his daughter over his shoulder, Jin responded, “I think that would be really fun, actually.”
Jin could practically feel Hoseok’s nerves dissipate through the phone. “Really?”
“Yes!” Jin chuckled. “Just let me know how much I owe you for the tickets, and we’ll be there. I’ll have to check with Jimin to see if he and Min-jun can join.”
“No, no, no. This is my treat,” Hoseok rushed in, brushing off Jin’s offer. “I am asking you out, remember.”
Jin sputtered for a moment. His voice came out small, “That’s too much.”
“It‘s not too much when you like someone.”
Jin was left speechless. Moments of silence stretch the miles that separate the two.
Hoseok cleared his throat, “If it makes you more comfortable, I can even invite my friend, Kookie. I just really want to take you out and have a good time.”
Jin smiled at the genuine warmth he felt through the phone. “I want to have a good time, too… with you.”
After clearing up a few logistical pieces, the two men got off the phone. Jin could barely conceal his elation as he settled back at the table for his meal with Eun-Ji.
The rest of the week passed in a blur of finalizing plans for that weekend’s outing through frequent text exchanges. The closer the day approached, the more nervous butterflies had taken up residence in Jin’s stomach.
On the day of the outing, he found himself more than a bit flustered as he stood in front of the mirror. Eun-Ji was playing happily in her own room as she picked out her outfit for the amusement park.
Jin had settled on a simple white button-down shirt and fitted dark-wash jeans that hugged his thighs nicely before stopping at his ankle, complementing his sneakers. He ran his hand through his raven hair, trying to tame the fine strands.
Hoseok had suggested they meet at the park's main entrance at 10 a.m., which was only an hour away by car. Through text earlier, Hoseok let Jin know that he would be wearing a blue shirt and a white cap for easy spotting.
Jin gathered up Eun-Ji and double-checked her outfit for appropriateness. He couldn’t help but smile fondly as he saw her cute outfit: dark pink shorts with a scalloped hem paired with an off-white blouse and sandals.
“Ready, petal?” Jin asked as he stepped into her room.
Eun-Ji’s head snapped up, the marker in her hand slipping from her grip. “Yes!” She bounced up from her activity table and skipped over to her father. As they made their way out of the apartment, she chattered excitedly about all the things she wanted to do at the park that day. Jin hummed along encouragingly as they stepped next door to meet Jimin and Min-jun.
Jimin chuckled as he opened his own door, catching the tail end of Eun-Ji’s elaborate plans for the day. “Someone is excited.”
Eun-Ji reached forward and grabbed Min-jun’s hand, ready to lead the way to the car. Eun-Ji started filling her friend in on all the fun that they were going to have that day.
Jin shook his head as he watched on, following behind the two. The soft nudge from the side pulled his attention away. He looked at Jimin, his brow raising in silent question.
“How are you feeling? Are you ready for this?” Jimin gently questioned.
Jin shrugged slightly. “I’m keeping a tight rein on my nerves, or at least I’m trying to,” he uttered with a grimace.
Jimin smiled understandingly and rubbed his shoulder. “Everything will be fine. The kids are going to have a blast, and I’m here as backup to support you.”
Jin took a deep breath and nodded his head a few times, trying to take Jimin’s words to heart.
As the morning sun shone bright in the sky, Jimin's reassuring words that they would have a fantastic time at the amusement park lifted the group's spirits. The sprawling park was packed with people of all ages, and the lively atmosphere was electric. They slowly made their way through the park, taking in the sights and sounds of the various attractions. They rode the thrilling roller coasters that sent their stomachs churning and their hearts racing. They played games, winning prizes and laughing at their own clumsiness.
As the day wore on, the sun reached its zenith in the sky. The small group's energy was high, so they decided to ride one more ride before stopping for snacks. They finally settled down for a mid-afternoon snack at one of the many picnic tables scattered between food stalls. The children had begun to grow restless and were now whining for sugary treats, their pleading voices impossible for the adults to resist.
Jungkook volunteered to grab treats for everyone and soon returned with his arms full of warm bungeoppang. The children jumped up on the wooden bench, eagerly reaching for the snack.
However, Jin quickly intervened with a stern look and a playful scolding, “Hey now, only well-behaved children get treats.” His teasing was tempered by the twinkle of humor in his eye. The children quickly settled back down, their hands still raised in excitement.
With Jin's nod of approval, Jungkook handed out the snacks, and soon, the group fell into a comfortable silence as they savored each bite. But not all of them could sit still for long. Min-jun and Eun-Ji finished their snacks first and started fidgeting, their young energy unable to be contained for too long. Jimin and Jungkook, finishing their snacks next, took pity on them and decided to take them to the next ride.
"Come on, little gremlins," Jimin called out with a mischievous grin. "Let's get in line for the next ride!" With excited squeals, the group disappeared around a corner, leaving behind remnants of crumbs and laughter in their wake.
Jin watched fondly as they split off, happy to see Eun-Ji enjoying herself. A gentle hand placed on his knee pulled his attention back to the man next to him. Hoseok's eyes rested on the older man in adoration, causing a pink flush to perfuse Jin’s cheeks.
“What, do I have something on my face?” Jin reached up to brush at the corner of his mouth. Before his hand got very far, Hoseok intercepted it, lacing their fingers together.
“No. There’s nothing. Well, unless you count the general handsomeness that is kind of all over,” Hoseok responded, making a gesture that sort of encompassed Jin’s entire head.
Jin couldn’t hide the deepening of his blush this time. “Stop it. You’re going to give a guy a big head.” His cheeks flamed even darker as he realized what he just said.
Of course, Hoseok picked up on it instantly, his head falling back as he let out a bark of laughter. Hoseok’s head returned to level, but this time, it was inclined toward Jin, their mouths only inches apart. Hoseok’s thin fingers squeezed his hand gently. “I see what you did there, and I’ll only stop if you join me for dinner tomorrow night.”
Jin’s heartbeat spiked erratically in his chest as he met Hoseok’s gaze, their eyes locked together in a silent dance. The air between them crackled with unspoken tension, electric and undeniable. Hoseok’s brown eyes danced with a mixture of nervousness and anticipation, the image of them disappearing as Hoseok leaned in closer.
Jin felt the world around him tilt and right itself as he realized the sensation was just Hoseok’s soft lips against his own. His head spun as Hoseok’s lips pressed fervently to his own in a kiss. His entire body trembled with electricity, every nerve on fire as he succumbed to the sensation of their mouths melding together. The touch was innocent enough, but the desire that flooded through his veins was anything but. As their lips parted, he struggled to catch his breath, his head bobbing in a nod.
Jin was unsure if it was in response to Hoseok’s question or to the tingling sensations that lingered on his lips. He didn’t have time to figure it out as the sound of crunching gravel and footsteps slowly returned his focus back to reality.
“Come on, lovebirds!” Jimin’s voice broke the spell completely. The rest of their group drifted over as the kids rambled on excitedly about the awesome ride they just finished.
Working women anon again—I know MS is loving being a mom (& she’s great at it😭😍!!!) & that (I think I saw before?) YS would likely stop working once pregnant. What about the other women? Besides JS who isn’t planning on children ❤️, would a few of the other women keep working even after having a child? Like Nana and Ji-eun maybe?? Happy with whatever you write, but, I’m biased hahaha, and hope a few girls stay in the working world!! The balance between the women’s goals & interests IS AWESOME!
(In theory as we haven’t yet revealed if they will have children) I think Nana and Ji-eun would continue working in some capacity. I think actually they would both be able to handle working in a senior position and being a mother at the same time, and I actually can see both RM and J-Hope staying at home for the most part while the children are young.
Ara would probably work a few hours a week but I think she’s actually a homemaker at heart, which we have hinted in a lot of our more recent fics.
Min-seo has never really had much ambition in turning her degree into a career as I think she felt that she should go to university rather than it being something she was super passionate about. We think she’s happy to work from home on her sociology blog, even if this doesn’t really contribute much to their income.
Young-soon would probably debate going back to work and probably would once her children were old enough, but I don’t think she’s someone who especially loves her job and so I think she’d sort of welcome the time off.
I actually think if Jeong-sun and Yoongi did have children, she might stay at home to raise the baby, more because I don’t think she’d want to pass it along to someone else. We haven’t thought too much about this scenario since they know they don’t want children, but I think being a nurse would be too demanding also with a baby at home. Yoongi would probably be up for dad duties if she wanted to work, since we know he’s pretty happy in a domestic environment, but I think she’d know too that he loves music too much to give it up completely, so it would be more of a carefully thought out decision on who should pay the bills etc.
How would BTS react to you expecting their child? (surprise pregnancy)
I know readers will be super curious as to what we think regarding pregnancy/having children and it is definitely something we have discussed a lot in general and the context of our headcanon universe.
As we are slowly revealing more aspects of starting a family as part of our universe, it is hard for us to answer this question properly without giving away some spoilers for our future fics (with some reveals coming very soon!)
Obviously, Jin and his wife Min-seo are already expecting in our fics and we feel the reveal would have happened with Jin suspecting (due to her ongoing symptoms) it might have been the case. When he notices she has not gotten better following their vacation (from the fic ‘Trouble in Paradise’), he might gently suggest she buy a pregnancy test, with her admitting she too had suspected it as a possibility but feeling nervous about taking it. (The test is shown in the background of our Min-seo fanart here!). We think they'd have agreed to take the test together, but she would be too jittery with anticipation and instead take it while he was at work, surprising him when he got home. They would both be over the moon, especially as their relationship had recently had some complications, as revealed in the above fic; it would feel like really good news. She would definitely break down crying with happiness when she got the result, feeling overwhelmed with emotion, and Jin would know immediately when he got home what had happened and would hold her close as she sobbed.
In terms of the other couples, as mentioned we do not want to reveal too much and honestly we don’t see it as a straightforward answer that they would all be super happy and over the moon if their girlfriend was pregnant. For some couples, it would be obvious that the other wanted children, but others would need to discuss it and whether the time was right or if it is what the other wants too. Some of the girls would not feel ready to have a baby yet either and would take precautions to make sure this was unlikely.
Each couple is at a different point in their relationship, not just in terms of time together but also emotionally, and would want to wait until the time was right to plan starting a family. Furthermore, one headcanon couple we do not see as wanting children and we believe they would have spoken about this already. We have not written an explicit scenario showing this yet, but there are some hints throughout our work.
A huge thank you for the ask and rest assured we will reveal more soon!
