(Really Unpopular ??) Opinions: Bangtan
Maknae line are not overrated
The cyphers are nice or whatever but for some reason, they always go really hard on the verses and give a weak ass chorus (actually, a lot of Rapline tracks--cyphers or not--are like that)
I can hear Jungkook breathing over the track before I even press play
Personal opinion on him aside, Jimin’s tone sounds like cherubs shitting gold. Even though it sounds like his poor vocal chords have lived long and harrowing lives, his vocal color is unique and pleasant to listen to
I wish I could bottle Hoseok’s vocal chords and sell them on Etsy. I love his voice
More of a fact but Seokjin has the best vocal technique in BTS
BTS has the best kpop MVs period. They’re shot so well and look expensive
No one asked for a BTS cute concept
I tried to figure out why Jungkook is one of the most likeable idols (and crawling his way onto my radar), and I honestly think it’s because he’s a blank slate. His image is that he’s very sensible and reserved, which makes it easy for people to project their image of perfection onto him
Taehyung should do a solo EP, because Singularity was a legit banger
BTS’ styling has been very hit or miss lately...
Speaking of styling, I love Hoseok but his airport fashuns are suffering from Taemin’s Gucci slippers syndrome (though, ironically I’ve come to appreciate them ugly shits)
Believe it or not but the We Don’t Talk Anymore cover is the first song I had ever heard by anyone in BTS and I immediately noticed Jimin. To this day, I still think that cover sounds better than the original and Charlie Puth should hand his career over to Jeon Jungkook
This is controversial but...the “Love Yourself” concept is severely flawed. But I’ll leave it at that
Seokjin is not underrated but Hoseok is
Yes, ARMYs ARE problematic. It’s not just because they’re the biggest fanbase, it’s just because...they are. In the same way Universes (?? whatever the fuck Pentagon stans are called) are problematic, etc. Let’s stop pretending that it’s somehow okay to harbor racism, shitty attitudes and excessive obsession to the point of lacking all reason just because other k-pop fandoms do the same thing
Begin is a good song, the middle is the best part, and this is the end of this post
