I am so proud of BTS standing their ground.
Woke up to the news that BTS is opting out of the Grammys. This is why I love them. They aren't just rolling over and accepting the scraps thrown to them. They are one of the biggest groups in music and people are still trying to shove them into a box. This is a real statement. It is professional and to the point but makes it clear that the insult has been seen, heard, and felt. Not only that but for each of them to post it, in Korean, was the cherry on top. It didn't come as an official statement from the company. It came from them. This was personal.
BTS had a dream and to walk away from it to protect their own self respect... it speaks louder than any award.
These are seven men who have fought to build their legacy on the dreams of seven boys. Those dreams are still their foundation, but dreams are allowed to shift and change.
Much love to every single one of them, they've worked too hard to be put into a box.
