ill-starred (comic)
"Le Guignon" by Charles Baudelaire, The Flowers of Evil, 1857 ("Ill-Starred" trans. William Sigler)
baudelaire is one of my favorite poets of all time, and its only coincidental that he tended to write about the kind of stuff that i imagine spike and buffy might be drawn to (beauty, death, revolt) as a vampire or slayer. i think there is a kind of death within isolation, and they're just two people being alone together.
I was reading one of my Buffy comics today and the first page had me so confused because that is not Willow LOLL. Like I fully thought it was a random character. Luckily it was made clear pretty quickly who it was because the whole comic was centered around Willow but I stg she looks more like Cordelia in this book.
Btvs Season 8, Issue 37
