Once I saw some say that they wished Buffy could have kept the ability to read minds from “Earshot” but for the entirety of the series. Personally, I don’t agree because then it would be an entirely different show at that point although I do think it’s interesting to think about hypothetically. It’s kinda fun to imagine what the thoughts of characters who are nowhere near that episode would be like. I think Buffy would be instantly onto Parker. I’m not so sure about Kathy because she couldn’t hear Angel’s thoughts since he is a vampire and Kathy is a demon. I wonder how Ben and Glory’s thoughts would work… Buffy wouldn’t hear Glory’s but maybe she would hear Ben’s and sometimes it’d be like a really weird one-sided conversation. Professor Walsh and Riley would be given away fast. It’s interesting to think about random scenes and what it would be like if Buffy could hear everyone’s thoughts during them. In the musical episode she would finally understand what it's like to be listening to a song while several other songs are all playing in your head at once. If only a crossover with Angel and hear everyone's thoughts over there. “Who Are You?” Is she now thinking in Faith’s voice or does Faith now have mind reading instead? Now, wait, can Jonathan do it instead in "Superstar"? “Normal Again” and “Hush” are some of the strangest to think about.
