Clint is a human disaster but he’s a human disaster who cares damnit. So when Nat and Bucky go on a no squishy humans allowed missions (because in this AU Nat is all super soldiery Natalia Romonava) they come back to a week’s worth of dishes Clint used to make them dinner.

Bucky like brushing Nat’s hair and she’ll curl up at his feet so he can run his fingers through it.

Nat makes Clint the strongest coffee he can handle when he has a bad day. She’s not sure what else there is she can do even though Clint assures her coffee and companionship are plenty.

They adopt a cat. The cat rides Lucky everywhere. Clint tells Lucky to stop being a pushover. Nat is proud of her cat. Bucky finds the whole thing hilarious and it ends up on YouTube.

AU where Bucky and Natasha aren't working for the good guys (whether or not they're with the Red Room/Department X/whatever or freelancing doesn't matter) and they come across Clint and decide to keep him. Whether or not he wants to.

I was just thinking that I wish there was a dark, fucked-up Clint AU in progress, and then I remembered that this series exists.

Basically, Clint is sent after Natasha (who is, unknown to SHIELD, working with Bucky) and fails, but instead of killing him, Nat and Bucky--still agents of...the redroom? It's not gotten into--decide to keep him so they can have something of their own.

Everything is brainwash conditioning and dubious at best. And yet fluffy. In an assassin kidnapping prisoner taking kind of way.
