The funniest thing about the whole Bud Lite brouhaha is that if they'd stood their ground and doubled down on partnering with Dylan Mulvaney instead of apologizing and firing a scapegoat, they'd be the best-selling beer in the US right now; queer folks and allies would buy the hell out of Bud Lite. I hate Bud Lite, and I moved to the Philippines a few years back, but I'd find a way to buy it just to be supportive.

As it stands, bigots still hate them for partnering with a trans person to begin with, and everyone else hates them for backing down and apologizing.

Does the tendency of conservatives to jump straight to terrorism at even the smallest perceived offense genuinely baffle anyone else?

For example, I just read an article, and they're threatening to blow up breweries full of people who, like, just work there making beer. Why? Because bud lite sponsored two (2) instagram posts and gave one (1) commemorative can (that none of them will ever see or interact with in real life) to an Instagram influencer.

Can you imagine getting so upset about an Instagram ad that you threaten to murder a bunch of nearly completely unrelated innocent people? I struggle to wrap my head around the mindset, personally.
