one day eddie is gonna wake up in his bed next to a sleeping buck and run his fingers through his curls and watches as buck slowly and softly wakes up. they have a 48 off but they have things to do but there’s no rush. chris is away at college but eddie had texted chris to check in and chris was safe and sound and happy. he’ll stare at buck’s heavy eyes wake up and he’ll press a kiss to his birthmark. he’ll watch as a faint pink blushes across his face and a soft smile that eddie knows is only directed to him makes it across his face. they’ll get ready for their day together like they’ve been doing for years but with more touches and glances. eddie will attempt to put gel on his hair and buck will take it away from his hands and say “leave it like this. it’s cute” and that’s that, eddie can’t deny buck anything. and they’ll be in the kitchen buck making breakfast and eddie making coffee using the fancy creamer buck likes and eddie reluctantly also likes. and they’ll share soft warm kisses as their breakfast slightly burns and their coffees go a little cold but it’s okay. because they have each other and they love each other. one day eddie is going to have this and think “yeah. it’s all been worth it.”
