An Argument for Monuments from Amonkhet in Commander (EDH)
The monuments from Amonkhet might be super underrated in commander, they provide a form of ramp (sometimes better than +1 mana) and do things that those colors usually wanna do. Of course there are always gonna be cases where that’s not true. But in the cases where it is, the only bad one i would consider is Bontu's and maybe Kefnet's (they simply don’t provide as much tempo or value) but the others are like pretty decent especially when considering they trigger off EVERY creature you cast, not just the ones in that color.
When does white not want a 1/1 body. like of course there are times but sometimes you need one to sac it, or put an equipment on it to get card draw or something, or even just having a little blocker could be a difference between lethal or not.
Blue tapping down creatures could really disrupt the plans of other decks, tapping down even a mana dork slows down the rate of some decks, not to mention shutting down decks that go tall and go into combat.
Black is the most lack luster as it just drains the table for 1 and gives you 1, BUT in a deck that cares about incremental life gain that’s crazy: those vampires that said *whenever you gain life, your opponents lose 1" can really start ticking away at your opponents.
Green could snowball with +2/+2 and trample on 1 creature every turn, and start creating board pressure fast.
Red has rummaging on every creature, that’s amazing selection.
I do think that they wouldn't be run in most high tuned/powerful decks but when aiming for the not as powerful deck archetypes or mono/2 color commanders, i think they can slot in fairly well and deserve to be looked at.
