I was floored by this unexpected site in Buduruwagala, Sri Lanka. There are 3 additional carvings of people on either side of the Buddha. Walking up to the seven towering figures sculpted into a massive rock is an experience I won't soon forget. . Tips for visiting Buddhist sites respectfully: 👉Men and women should cover their shoulders and knees🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ 👉You should take your shoes and socks off before entering the sacred area👡👡 👉You shouldn't show the bottoms of your feet towards Buddha images👣 👉Avoid turning your back to the Buddha image, and especially avoid taking pictures with your back to him.
