Pairing time for the Budwing mantises! Tortoise (M) & Turtle (F).
Flora the Terrible, Biter of Fingers
Meet Scout. My first born Budwing Mantis, a Parasphendale agrionina. Pictured above is her when she was first born (i1). She just molted to i5 this morning. She will be mature with a set of wings at i9!
Here's her now! Just look at her! She looks like her mother. Mom just laid her 5th ooth.
MOLT! I keep these in a 16 oz deli cup. Must have collected over 200 molts now.
While Scout will be staying with me, 100+ of her siblings are looking for homes! 10$ for a nymph, i4-i6 sexed pairs 25$. Full sales list here.
Want to name a mantis? DM me your suggestions! Named mantises will be available to purchase when older (i2+).
Scout update! Little lady is now i6!
MAD. VERY MAD.
Budwing Mantises (Parasphendale agrionina)
These are 4 separate adult females, all being sassy with me for one reason or another.

We have our first adult from the first ootheca I bred & raised!!! Mildred has become the first adult at i9. He has gained his lovely wings and long antennae!
Freshly peeled.
CHOMP DID IT!!!
We have baby budwings!!!
Update Dec 15th.
There are ~69 babies (nice). As usually happens some passed away shortly after hatching. I've probably lost ~10, maybe more.
~11-12 days after hatch and I have had 4 of the budwings molt!
They will be for sale at 10$ a piece to be sent to homes around the US once all molt to at least i2 and the holiday shipping rush is over.
CHOMP & GUILLOTINE
Parasphendale agrionina
Budwing Mantis Pair
She's been coned to prevent her from eating him. She's spicy.
Two days after pairing she laid this ootheca. Hopefully it's fertile!
As of December 2nd, we have BABY BUDWINGS!!! Chomp passed on November 21st. Rest in peace, my man. You did good.
