I am writing a Phinabella fanfiction, but I've encountered some issues regarding coupling Baljeet and Buford

At first, I made it so Baljeet and Ginger were a thing. Then I scrapped it and made Buford and Baljeet be a romantic pairing. But now I wonder, would it be best if they were just best bros and didn't care about relationships? Or should I pair them with crushes they had as children? Though they aren't the main focus of the fanfiction, this stalls me because I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEIR RELATIONSHIPS SPECIFICALLY. So I want your opinions.
