So I didn't meet Rayleigh yet in the anime (I started at impel down and I'm at mid Marineford), but I read a lot of stuff on him and took screenshot references in order to make this silly strip. I also asked OnePiece Bestie & PiratePunk, my two One-Piece consultants-tm. I hope I didn't write him out of character !

To answer you : I would say it depends of the kid, because they probably don't have the same kind of nightmares. When it comes to Blaze or Skye, Buggy just go and hug them, tell them he's gonna kick the ass of the monster who is chasing them in their dream, making them laugh so they forget....

And then there is Rory.

ok so there was some ~trend~ on Tiktok where you approached your kids with your hand out to see how they would react, and it would range from 'child resting their head lovingly on your open palm' to 'hands you something' to 'oh let me take a bite out of your hand' and i'm very curious which of the triplets would do what. and then what parent is doing this to see how the kids react.

Breaking a bit my rule of "never interacting with parents posting their kids online" here, I went to see this to get some ideas. So cute !

Blaze taking an immediate shine to one of Crocodiles Bananawani tough. He and Skye just hanging around those Apex predators and gently petting them like they are housecats. Crocodile is surprisingly cordial to the kids, at most shoos them away when the animal gets tired or when the meetings are about to start, but the tip of a hook hook against Buggys jugular makes it clear if the kids hurt the animal in any way, or get on its nerves, or get on HIS nerves, then Buggy will have to be „a responsible parent“ and answer for failing to raise children correctly.

… in the meantime however he’s fine with humoring the brats and just honestly answering their Bananawani related questions. (May find the idea of Buggys children annoying the hell out of him, trying to get them one of these alligators for their birthday amusing.)
