A bunch of advice for college freshmen, from an incoming junior.
- party hard. Work even harder. -drink in "manageable" amounts -There will be unfair moments in class. Deal with it. -Not all professors are educ grads. Meaning, they wont be patient with you unlike in HS, so learn to adapt. -Impossible schoolwork happens, those who prepare early, succeed. - take it one step.at a time, enjoy. -If you must pull an all nighter, prepare caffeine in large amounts. - Fastfood is unhealthy, find healthier alternatives if you dont want to get fat easy. (carinderia) -Befriend upperclassmen, their advice will prove invaluable. So are their notes. - Dont buy a book new when you can borrow or buy a secondhand one. - There's always a cheap alternative for printing and school supplies, find the stores. Save money. - The commute to and from: hide yo gadgets, hide yo wife! - Join orgs that you can manage between acads. Never let orgs get the best of acads. - To secure a spot at the library during test week- get there early to find a seat. -Strive hard. Pray during finals
