Late Night Dining 🥂
TIL that you can use exterior trim to clean up the edges of indoor floor cut outs and my life has truly changed for the better. It looks so much cleaner!
hey minecraft ga(y)mers
can i get some building tips? specifically on building a roof on a horse pen?
i built a horse pen for Peabody so i could have some storage and he can have a place. and i forgot the roof on the pen part!! that was the ENTIRE point of building a pen. he's gonna get rained on :((
and don't hit me with the 'oh it's just a virtual horse in a game for transportation' because FUCK YOU
PEABODY DESERVES A NICE, WARM, AND DRY HOME
Someone asked me where to find the white fencing I used in my Cozy Victorian home, so I thought I’d write up a mini-tutorial of how I found it (in case anyone else wants to know).
The fence is made up of two objects (circled in red in the catalog in the pic above): a post and the main fence. They are debug items (from the Cats & Dogs EP) that were added in the July 2019 patch (along with a ton of other debug items like trees and cars), and you can access them this way (there might be better ways, but this is how I do it!):
In Build Mode, open the cheat panel by selecting Ctrl + Shift + C on your keyboard.
Type testingcheats on and hit Enter. You should see a message that says “Testing Cheats enabled”.
Type bb.showliveeditobjects and hit Enter.
Hit Escape to close the cheat panel.
In the catalog, on the far left, select Objects by Function (looks like a yellow chair). Make sure the drop-down menu says “Show All”.
Select Filter Items on the far right of the catalog and scroll down to Expansion Packs. Select Cats & Dogs (if you’re looking for other stuff that’s from base game or other packs, you don’t need to do this part). Click the checkmark button.
Click in the Search bar and hit the Enter key (without typing anything). You should see your catalog refresh.
Scroll down past all of the regular items in the pack until you see the fence and the post.
A note about these debug objects: You won’t be able to use “Shift” while placing to keep placing one after the other, nor will you be able to use the Eye Dropper tool to clone them. If you know you’ll be wanting to use this fence a lot, you can make a small room out of foundation, place several of the fences and post from the catalog, then save the room to your library so next time you just have to place the room and grab the items. If you run out of fence and need more, you can just place a fresh version of the room from your library.
Let me know if that doesn’t work for you! :)
What DOES pair well with acacia bc im currently living in a mesa/savannah mix and the yellow terracotta is so fucking uuugglllyy with the acacia and i honest to got dont want my whole house made of wood bc i can and probably will burn it down
Some nice brown tones, most terracotta looks nice because they're off colour, most basic building materials too like cobble, bricks, I bet white concrete could work too for a nice contrast!
I’m not sure how helpful this will be for other folks, but figuring these two tricks out turned a nightmare of a C.A.M.P. location into one that I could make work. I find it easier to build on hills when I start at the top, but the build mode doesn’t seem to naturally be inclined to working that way.
Outside is complete!
