An iPhone portrait, slightly modified in Photoshop, taken after morning events last Saturday at the Harvard Club in Back Bay, part of the ICA&A Bulfinch Awards 2019. I was working on the house all day Easter Sunday; this is the outfit I’d probably have worn if I’d been at leisure. ‘Portrait of the Artist as a middle-aged aesthete’, let’s call it. More toward the Lord Marchmain than Sebastian Flyte end of the spectrum at this point, certainly.

We would like to express heart-felt thanks to the ICAA New England Chapter and to everyone who came out to the Harvard Club of Boston this Saturday evening for the 2016 Bulfinch Awards ceremony gala to help celebrate the continued relevance of classical architecture and art. There are precious few opportunities today for the work of traditional craftspeople to earn public recognition, especially in a forum of this nature and from a panel of such highly esteemed judges -- so this award is a source of great pride and inspiration for our entire Hyde Park Mouldings studio family. #bulfinchawards #leadersofdesign #classicist #icaa (at Harvard Club of Boston)

This elliptical dome we created for the U.S. Senate Chamber Recreation at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate in Boston, MA measures approximately 76' x 34' and features a decorative fluted band as well as Greek key fretwork pattern along its lower perimeter. The dome was just one item in a long list of cast plaster elements we created for this very special room. We at @hydeparkmouldings are deeply honored to have this work selected to receive the @classicist_org 2016 Bulfinch Award in the category of Craftsmanship / Artisanship. #bulfinchawards #leadersofdesign
