Also, in case you can’t tell it from the absolutely sexist, shitty writing, “Ms. Dee” is a guy. Source: I talk to authors at romance conferences about Amazon book stuffers like “Dee.”
Pretty sure ‘Cassandra Dee’ was what I call a frankenauthor. Basically, it’s all books put out under the same author name but which are written by ghostwriters.
There are a LOT of these frankenauthors active at any given time; a particularly egregious example at the moment is the ‘publishing house’ Cobalt Fairy. Run out of Greece, these guys have several author names very active in the historical romance sector. Absolutely none of these author names are ‘real people’ and believe me, I’d know if they were; I’m very active in histrom author circles. They are ghostwritten, they’re pretty rubbish, and they’re spending enough on advertising to dominate the historical romance charts on Amazon, which believe me is making REAL historical romance authors like myself Very, Very Tired.
