Remarkably, they did remove tiny lines and indentations on girls' hot pants as they turned them into mini-skirts.

Somewhat in passing, my Senior year English teacher told the class the origins of a dress code edict, really just a dress code enforcement tightening, of a couple years earlier. It was the result of one exchange student from Australia, who -- well, she was remembered fondly by the male students. The "pull your pants up" baggy pants part of the equation was just tacked on for gender balance -- even though that is what brought any attention as an area local tv news outlet came for some stupid student parking lot interviews and video roll scanning on

kids' huge pants -- the origins of b-roll that would be inappropriately repurposed when covering a student's tragic death later that year and a discomfort in seeing "Students at -- High School are mourning today -" over video of grinning teenagers sporting their baggy pants. I remember one and only one "sending to the principal's" (or any sort of reprimanding) moment before this dress code push fizzled and faded (or for all I knew everyone reformed their attire and brought it into acceptance without me noticing), and now think puzzlingly at the (female) teacher's quip on the girl's prior male teacher not bothering on her frilly dress -- and from her I have a strong feeling that the teachers who made the dress code push were women, with the male teachers in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" spot on regulating girls' attire -- the issue of boys' pants needed for them, and there I have no clue whether the fact that that dominated the discourse on what was happening was by design or just an accident. I was caught on the thought of a student as example, and a coming to a rule that could be thought of as the "(name of student) rule", and a process on weighty deliberation on them specifically even as the student in question is gone from the place -- sort of wondered what my rule would be --

Making another post to hopefully try and cover things for tonight since we haven't had much luck in the past few days. We weren't able to pay last night so we owe 120$ tonight. We also haven't eaten in two days, this being our third. I hate to make another post about this asking for help but we haven't received any so far and I don't want us to end up more behind than we already are. If it goes on for too long, we will be evicted.

I have my commissions open (you can find my info here or on my pinned post) if anyone is interested. All funds go to supporting my family and is daily needs such as food and the room so we can stay here. Reblogs also help us alot. Thank you. Again, I'm really sorry.
