actually episodes with cas in them vs episodes without cas (not including seasons 1-3) were compared and cas episodes are rated higher. not by a whole lot but on average episodes with cas had more viewers and higher ratings. if episodes with cas in them didn't affect ratings and viewers he would've been killed off ages ago if u think about it logically
