Dropout introduced me to a story of a glass cat that's aloof and conceited, but learns to be more agreeable to people by using a stethoscope to hear the heartbeat of other people, a story that gets me very emotional just thinking about it
...
And it was in the show Um Actually and the error of the statement is that that's not what the actual story is at all.
I'm crying over a story that does not exist.
Miking my bungle till I have no more faith in my jizzlobber
Bungle (@bungleart) is super cool and you should buy a sticker. They all kinda look like this to me, but more professional and introspective
Look back month day 24: glass
This is Bungle the Glass cat, from L Frank Baum’s Oz series. Her brains are made of pink marbles; you can see ‘‘em work!
She’s not exactly the correct scale by Dorothy, but then that’s not the Dorothy doll for the set I’m making. She just had the right dress and was roughly the same size. My final Dorothy is in progress.
I am so happy with the little beads for pink marble brains, even though they migrated into her ears.
Tbh it my be a stretch to call this looking back, since I only finally finished her a few weeks ago, and didn’t get around to posting before the challenge started. But it has been a years long process.
1. Search for glass or otherwise clear cats in roughly Barbie scale
2. Attempt to sculpt out of translucent polymer clay
3. Attempt to sculpt out of clear worbla beads
4. Attempt to find a non-clear Barbie scale cat, roughly symmetrical for ease of mold making
5. Attempt to make molds
6. Find cat molds online and order
7. Leave molds and resin on shelf for over a year because I was nervous
8. First attempt, as you can see, is more bubble than resin
9. Victory! But maybe I’ll try again someday for brains that don’t go into the ears

WE live in a world beset on all sides with mysteries and riddles—and so ’tis no matter——else it seems strange, that Nature, who makes every thing so well to answer its destination, and seldom or never errs, unless for pastime, in giving such forms and aptitudes to whatever passes through her hands, that whether she designs for the plough, the caravan, the cart—or whatever other creature she models, be it but an asse’s foal, you are sure to have the thing you wanted; and yet at the same time should so eternally bungle it as she does, in making so simple a thing as a married man.
