His eyebrows furrowed close together. His lines pressed into a thin line while he frowned in concentration. His fists clenched tightly around the dart. Then, he threw it. “BOO-YAAAAH!” Barbatos yelled loudly. MC jumped at his outburst and Mammon coward back. He looked away from the dartboard to the other two. His expression faded to one of neutrality. “Was that acceptable?”

MC’s mouth twitched violently as they tried to hold in a laugh. Slowly, they moved towards him. They buried their face in his chest and wrapped their arms around him. Barbatos’s eyes widened before he laughed lightly. He wrapped his own arms around MC, pulling them closer to him.

“Did I do that well?” he asked with some surprise.

Mammon smacked his forehead. “Ya gotta be jokin’ me! That sounded fake as hell!”

“Oh?” Barbatos looked up from MC towards the Avatar of Greed. Looking back down at the human burying their face in his chest he asked softly, “Then how come you’re hugging me like this?”

“It was too cute,” MC giggled. “You were trying so hard!” Their shoulders shook as they tried to suppress their laughs, but it was failing. “You should just be yourself with the customers. They’ll fall in love with you if you do.”

Barbatos hummed. He removed one hand from MC and held his chin with it. He closed his eyes with a frown. “That may be a problem.”

MC pulled away; their nose wrinkled up ever so slightly in confusion. “Why would that be a problem?”

Barbatos’s eyes fluttered open. They crinkled up at the sides. A smirk played on his lips. “I only want you to love me.” MC’s mouth gaped open. They shut it quickly and went back to hiding in his chest, ignoring Mammon yelling in the background for them to get away from Barbatos.
