This Cheeseburger-Cake is a fun and tasty take on the classic cheeseburger. It's great for parties and get-togethers. Layers of seasoned ground beef, cheese, pickles, and tomatoes make up this savory "cake." A zesty sauce goes on top of it all. Cut it up like a cake and eat it!
Ingredients: 2 lbs ground beef. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/2 cup milk. 1/2 cup ketchup. 1/4 cup mustard. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1 onion, finely chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated. 1 cup pickles, sliced. 3 large tomatoes, sliced. 8 burger buns.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 375F 190C. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to create the first layer of your 'cake.' Layer half of the grated cheddar cheese on top of the meat. Place the pickles and tomato slices on top of the cheese layer. Form the remaining meat mixture into a patty shape and place it on top of the tomato slices, creating the second layer of your 'cake.' Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the meat is cooked through. In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise to create the sauce. Once the 'cake' is cooked, remove it from the oven and spread the sauce evenly on top. Sprinkle the remaining grated cheddar cheese on top of the sauce. Return the 'cake' to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve each slice between burger buns, and enjoy your Cheeseburger-Cake Partykracher!
