With this classic burger recipe, you can taste what Chicago is like. Beef patties that are juicy and topped with cheddar cheese, onions, pickles, and all the fixings. They are put between two toasted buns.
Ingredients: 1/2 lb ground beef. 1 hamburger bun. 2 slices cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup diced onions. 2-3 pickle slices. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Ketchup. Mustard. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Season with salt and pepper. Place the burger patties on the hot grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger bun on the grill or in a toaster. Assemble your burger by placing lettuce leaves on the bottom bun, followed by a burger patty with melted cheese, diced onions, pickle slices, and tomato slices. Spread ketchup and mustard on the top bun, then place it on top of the burger. Serve your Chicago Classic Burger with your favorite side dish and enjoy!
