I know you don’t ship Eric/Jackie but do you have any headcanons for them?
It’s hard for me to make up headcanons for couples I personally think have zero romantic compatibility 😭 I’d have the same response to someone who wanted HCs for Hyde/Donna or Fez/Jackie, except I probably wouldn’t even offer HCs for them because I consider myself an anti-shipper of those particular couples. Eric and Jackie? Though I’m not personally a shipper, I can see the appeal of them and respect the ship. I can’t do that for the other two ships due to how much Hyde and Fez broke boundaries in their pursuit of a romantic relationship with Donna and Jackie respectively and refused to accept repeated rejections.
So for the Eric/Jackie example, I’m putting myself in the shoes of a shipper and envision an AU but here are a few:
- One of the biggest things they have going for them is a strong sense of security in their relationship. They’re both confident about the state of their relationship and where they are going. Eric has no problem committing and Jackie has no doubt about it.
- They love doll exhibitions. They both can do their thing on their own but can come back together to gush about their finds.
- They rollerskate together and iceskate together in the winter.
- Eric gets Jackie into Styx after making her listen to “Suite Madam Blue.”
- Jackie spruces up his wardrobe and gets him clothes that flatter him and look classier.
- They’re both competitive so whenever they play games with the gang, they have to be on the same team or it will end badly.
- Eric likes to play with Jackie’s hair between his fingers.
[just want to clarify that I am a huge fan of the Eric/Jackie dynamic and think of them more as siblings - Jackie being the sister Eric never really had with Laurie]
