It’s feeling like a singles day
Burnt Ones are a game I started working on about a year and half ago and stopped after 2 months. It was a RPG Maker 2000 project, which aimed to be 100%. That meant to make custom menus, battles and even messages.
The progress was quite good, but the game was quite hostile and making battles using event (you can’t code in the engine) scared me off. I started working on another project, eventually.
I want to return to Burnt Ones in 2018. It will be a bigger game than it meant to be. I want to keep the look but improve most of the graphics, so they’re more pleasant. I like the palette, which only consists of 8 colours and they go together well. I’ll probably keep it. The story’s solid in my opinion. The biggest chunk of work will be reworking of mechanics, which were extremely simplified. I’ll need a load of pictures for that.
The name’s stolen from the band. I love their music.
