Seasonal Affective Disorder is in full force among many Canadians during the grey days at the start of each year. It can be hard to remember on those dull days, but it's so important to find the things that bring you ~JOY~ throughout the season, and every once in a while... just get out of the house! . . . Along with some vitamin C & D supplements, for both an immunity boost and dose of must needed "sunlight effects", adding in some regular activity will give you a boost in serotonin and endorphins - a couple of the "feel good" brain chemicals.🙌 . . . 🌲Go for a walk on a tree-lined trail ~ ✂️Meet a friend downtown and check out the Maker's Space in the Library ~ 👩‍🎨Try a watercolour or pottery class ~ 📚Join a book club or crocheting group ~ 🏊‍♀️Get a day pass at one of the hotels (or the YMCA) and go for a swim ~ 🦖Check out the ALIX Art Museum or Stones and Bones ~ ⛸️Grab a friend and head to one of the public skate days ~ 🌊Take advantage of the quiet shorelines and go on a beach glass hunt! . . .
