I just read this blog post: http://zenhabits.net/play/. And I’m feeling totally inspired to make everything fun. Exercise has always been part of my fun but sometimes I forget to plan it out that way.
Today for fun, I’m going to do 100 burpees and time myself. I’m not going to rush it, I’ll take breaks, but it will still be fun to see how long it takes me. Another day I’ll push it harder and go a little faster.
Yesterday it was Yoga, and that was really fun too. Last Friday I did something a little crazy, I woke up early and went to the gym when I knew no one would be using the yoga studio. I put loud hip-hop music on and I gave myself a ballet barre, and then i danced. I haven’t danced in god-knows how many years. My extensions weren’t as high as they used to be, my turnout wasn’t as good... and man, my cardio has went down, but it was a blast. I choreographed some modern/ballet to the hip-hop music and it was a blast. Lets have funnnnnnn.
I also kinda want to run today, and I want to jump rope. We’ll see what happens, I’m letting my body dictate what I do, as long as I do something fun everyday.
