I used to have a character who was a life spirit in the form of a dog named Bridge. He came from the province of Aragorn (I know, it was actually a place in Spain before Spain was Spain. I think.), and... I can't really remember much about him. He could shapeshift, and as a human he always wore a collar.
Milo O'Malley's original story involved a 'Save The World' plot where he was accidentally chosen by a fire-tiger-god-thing who wasn't happy about choosing a half-mute impoverished fellow with no specific talents to think of. Might ressurrect this idea 'cause he'll actually have a personality in this story.
Anyone who rps with me routinely will know that Elias has a terrible stutter that does not really exist in other posts here. Giving him a stutter was partially inspired by @ashintheairlikesnow's Nate. Again, people know have rped with me will know Elias' stutter is significantly worse than Nate's. I originally had it more like Nate's, but Elias' stutter came from a specific kind of head trauma (I'm sure y'all remember that post where Courtney pushed Elias down the stairs? If not, erm, DM me, I might be able to find a link later) that really ruined his ability to speak or read at all (Those interested: he specifically damaged the Broca's region of his brain, which I believe is very much related to processing speech and language). I do plan to fudge some details and facts about how this kind of brain damage develops/how people deal with it, but I do very much enjoy having an Elias who struggles to communicate as much as he does.
I swear I've mentioned this somewhere else, but Candy's last name is Cane, and her superhero name is Bearpaw (she is fully aware of the sweet of the same name).
Candy's role in Elias' story is a work in progress, but the current plan/idea I'm working with is that Elias was kidnapped by some dudes lookin' to blackmail Elias' boss. Well, a week passes, and it's starting to get awkward, because nobody's come looking for Elias. Evil dudes are starting to discuss what to do with Elias when BAM superheroine Bearpaw shows up, kicks ass, and rescues poor Elias--who begs not to be taken to a hospital, nor back home, and at this point he doesn't really have a home. Out of sympathy, Candy takes him home and that's actually how they end up living together.
No, Candy is not a self-insert character shut up >:(
Haven't actually decided if Candy's superhero name will be Bearpaw or Bearclaw
