Everyone's been giving Vilde a bad rap for not standing up for Sana when Sara 'forgets' to add Sana to the Facebook group and for warming up to the Pepsi Max squad so quickly. And yeah, Vilde should have stood up for Sana. But Sana isn't totally guiltless either. This bus has always been Vilde's bus. She started it, she organized it. She was the Russe bus captain back in season 1. When Vilde returns to the bus after her pregnancy scare, the other girls joke that she has to come back and be bus captain because no one else wants to deal with the finances and hassle. This is her bus. And Sana stole it. There's always been a power struggle between the Vilde and Sana, going back to the toilet paper fiasco. Sana is authoritative and likes to be in control, which Vilde finds threatening. I don't know precisely why Sana names herself bus captain. Perhaps she thinks Vilde will let the Pepsi Max girls walk all over her and take charge. Perhaps she thinks she can do a better job. But whether she intended it to be or not, Sana made a power play. And that was seriously not cool. There's been lots of little hints of tension between Sana and Vilde this season. Sana telling Vilde she can only talk "a little" when the girls go to look at the bus. The way the shot is framed in the bus meeting scene so that Vilde is always blocked by someone else's body. The way Vilde's Instagram photo of the meeting has cut Sana out of the frame. So yeah, Vilde should stand up for her friends and shame on her for failing to do so. But shame on Sana for stealing the thing Vilde cared about above all else. Sana's not a bad person. Neither is Vilde. But they are young and they are making mistakes. Hopefully they will work them out.
