VINYLPORN /// BUSH - "Razorblade Suitcase " • "Razorblade Suitcase" ist das zweite Studioalbum der englischen Rockband Bush, dass am 19. November 1996 von Trauma und Interscope Records veröffentlicht wurde. Als Nachfolger des 1994er Debüts "Sixteen Stone" wurde es in den Abbey Road Studios in London mit dem Toningenieur und Produzenten - Legende Steve Albini (Pixies, Nirvana, Iggy Pop )aufgenommen. Der Klang der Albums ist wesentlich rauer als der seines Vorgängers und wurde oft mit Nirvanas "In Utero" verglichen. Das Album gilt unter Kritikern als das letzte große Grunge-Album der 90er Jahre. "Razorblade Suitcase" stieg auf Platz 1 in die US Billboard 200 ein und verkaufte 293.000 Exemplare in der ersten Verkaufswoche in den Vereinigten Staaten. Bis heute ist es das einzige Bush-Album das das geschafft hat. Meine Vinyl: Zum zwanzigjährigen Jubiläum wurde 2016 das Album mit dem offiziellen Titel "Razorblade Suitcase (In Addition)" remastert mit vier seltenen Bonustracks neu aufgelegt.
