🤔 business-direction (srslycris) doesn’t know ... the basics ... of the music business? can’t possibly see how the song released on steve aoki’s label ... might be promoted according to ... steve aoki’s schedule? put together by steve aoki’s management team? 🤔
The larries are proven hypocrites but when all get who Savan was speaking about but you..I mean.. to be so ignorant that Savan clearly talking about Louis is attributed to Zayn flushes your credibility down the toilet.
Harry has been included in UMPG ‘Our Artists & Writers’ list.
Sign of the Times has been included in UMPG’s catalogue.
Sweet Creature has been included in UMPG’s catalogue.
DEMAND is a joint project with Google to data mine and generate more $$$ in the music industry. Harry was the test case used to sell it. No one other than your blog is discussing it. Google, Full Stop, the Azoff companies are behind it to make big money for the music industry. Harry’s career is propped up by big business interests. I am not disputing his talent but people who believe his success is organic are incredibly naive. It is shocking that blogs are ignoring the data mining issue.
That’s why the Twitter argument between Irving Azoff and Representative Bill Pascrell (Dem., NJ) the other day was very interesting.
Pascrell had opposed the Ticketmaster- Live Nation merger in 2009, on the grounds that the resulting business would be a monopoly.
In 2018, Pascrell urged the DOJ to investigate Ticketmaster-Live Nation for antitrust practices.
Using data mining to generate dynamic pricing, and funneling this practice through Ticketmaster, is surely something the DOJ would be very interested in, particularly since the data mining isn’t limited to the ticket purchase.
The DOJ also made some noise about investigating Live Nation’s acquisition of Rival, a competitor to Ticketmaster, in December 2019.
Harry’s being the artist prototype for Demand is interesting too, since we know that Harry owns part of FSM. As a partner, he could also have some ownership of Demand.
Data manipulate us more than we realize. Harry and his team are ahead of the curve. They’ll data mine until the government stops them.
And again... fandom doesn’t care.
We live in an anti-science world, in an anti-science nation, with people preferring fantasy over reality. Those who control our data will control our money.
I would be interested in @business-direction’s take on DEMAND and Ticketmaster.
