Hi, I'm last night's bus pass anon. @ today's bus pass anon, yourself or others: is the university support plan basically the thing decided by university student support or the thing decided by DSA?

First I love your blog it’s awesome and second I’m autistic as well I’m at university if I have an education plan in place there do you think that would count as evidence besides my diagnosis for a free bus pass

Hiya! Thanks so much! I think that’d be more than enough evidence to receive it. Include copies of both your education plan & diagnosis in with the form and mail it to the address.

Did you have to get more evidence, or sit an assessment for the bus pass?

You have to fill out the application form and send that in the mail to the address provided with your evidence of disability included. You can send them an email and ask what proof they would like to see, I sent a copy of my EHCP and diagnosis which was enough for them to grant me the buss pass.

For the bus pass thing, I'm not sure which category I fit: "are without speech, have a long term disability or injury which seriously impairs the ability to wallk, have a significant degree of learning disability, would be refused a driving licence on physical fitness grounds." I'm guessing the learning difficulty, but who decides on the 'significance'?

Sadly they do which isn’t right but if you have a diagnosis then that should be all the proof they need of your disability. Print off the form and tick every box that applies to your life, that’s what I did.

How did you get a free bus pass? (Fellow UK autist here)

Hiya! I filled out a form and applied for it through my local council’s website. Here’s the government page about it and if you enter your postcode it will take you to your local council’s website to apply for a free buss pass.

Drug Bus

That hilarious moment when you flash your buss pass on the bus and last weekends leftover drugs fall out and you pick them right back up like nothing happened. Drugs are expensive people, don't judge me.
