My favorite trio of old men and the kings of ironically getting ROBBED... the MCPD!
Remember how last post I talked about Vampos and Boogly getting robbed because of how the specials work?
Yeah, you know where this is going. Get ready for a rant.
THIS. TRIO. GOT. ROBBED!!!!!!!
I can not make this shit up when I say this, THEY DIDN'T EVEN GET A MINUTE OF SCREENTIME OUTSIDE OF THE INTRO!!! THEY GOT MERE SECONDS!!! AND THEY WERE SUPPOSED ONE OF THE MAIN TRIBES!!!
As much as I love Every Knight Has its Day, it and Nixel Nixel Go Away is the PINNACLE of the special problem. The only mixels in series seven that get GOOD screen time are Medivals and JAMZY, and NO ONE ELSE IN HIS TRIO. ONLY ONE TRIO IS FOCUSED ON IN THIS SPECIAL!! And man, that SUCKS because I ADORE Series 7! It's probably my second favorite series with Series 4 beating it out because of it being the better special. I get that this stuff was probably more about selling the toys than anything, but you can still have a GOOD SHOW with GOOD WRITING and sell GOOD TOYS. I would've LOVE to see more of these three and the other members of Jamzy's trio, but man- you get what I mean :(((
Obviously, everything about this special wasn't bad. I will say a few good things. I liked the inclusion of Sarge, if we got more of the MCPD, I loved to see more of this mixel (and Booger having focus on him despite being a background mixel on all accounts proves that we can! Don't worry I fw Booger here, he's cool I got no hate against that man). I also liked the personalities of each of the characters we DID get to see. Finally, I enjoyed the interactions between Camillot, Booger, and Jamzy. Jamzy giving Cam the nickname "Castle Boy" is so cute!
Okay, that should be everything. Rant should be over. Let's get to the designs.
I had a lot of fun with these designs! You'd think a group like this would be quite difficult with how uniform police attire is, but if just allow yourself to take a few creative liberties, it's actually not that difficult! I also got work with doing designs of older people, which was fun too (besides Ticketz since he's still a bit new and probably decently young). I made Kuffs somewhat of the typical cop, Busto a prison warden, and Ticketz those cops on the bikes. I gave Busto a big prison cell backpack (the ironically looks like his mixel counterpart) to fit prisoners in on the go! How is that even possible without breaking a few bones or two to cram them in? Don't ask 🤫
