okay i have this friend.

we’re really close and i love them a lot but at recess today i asked what they would think if i came to school with a tail. them and another friend, who i already know wouldn’t like it (she’s kinda mean, rich, stuck up. you know.)

and my close friend was being really rude about it, they said that it was weird and stupid :( and without even knowing that i’m a therian, they’re like “ewww you furry, you’re a HUMAN, by the way.”

they don’t even know the difference between therians and furries. they don’t know how wonderful this community is, they don’t know how affirming gear is for me, they’re just mean.

and they excused it all by saying they’ve had a “bad experience” with someone who was just pretending to be a cat to be stupid. won’t move past that to learn anything.

i want to educate them more but they’d just call me a weirdo
