Oh man. I was sitting in church today and my pastor was spitting out that Good Wisdom™
In particular, he was talking about God’s provision for every. little. thing. in the life of a believer, adding, “If God could provide His Son for your salvation, how could you think that He can’t take care of you and provide you with what you need? That’s just not possible.”
That stuck with me because I remember the stressful week I’ve had and in the middle of all the anxiety and fear I could sense God reminding me, “How could you trust Me to save you from eternal death and then not trust Me with the every day struggles you face? How could I give you My Son and not provide you with what you need in this life?”
We can trust in Him–not trust in what He can do, but trust in who He is. In the goodness of His heart towards us.
How good is He? He always reaches out and destroys every lie, every wrong mindset, and softly, gently, lovingly reminds us of the beautiful truth of who He is. I’m humbled by His heart every single day. He gets more and more beautiful each time I look at Him and behold His glory. He gets so much better every moment. We can cling to every promise He speaks and walk in their truth because He who promised is faithful.
