LU in Healthcare Villains

Because yes, this is a modern slice-of-life healthcare au, but people choose to be villains in everyday life anyway. They don’t really play huge roles in the story, but they’re there.

Vaati - This guy irritates the heck out of Four. He’s a STICU nurse who started working PRN in the MICU for the sole purposes of trying to woo Dot. But his main interest is really to just take over STICU and be a manager. He’s a decent nurse, but he lacks compassion. Vaati and Four have gotten into it multiple times, and Four always wins, but somehow this guy hasn’t left yet.

Cia - Warriors’ landlady and Lana’s twin sister. She’s a horrible person all around, really. Fought in the civil war on the enemy side. Uses her grief over her sister’s death as an excuse to keep Wars close, but really just wants him. And makes demands that are very much not ok.

Kohga - Current head of the nutrition department. Is extremely upset when Wild goes to war with him over the poor state of the hospital’s food. Only good thing the hospital serves is anything banana related.

Ganondorf - CEO of Hyrule Hospital. Fought in the civil war on the enemy side. Runs the place about as well as any greedy, infuriating hospital CEO. Has a cat named Ghirahim. :)

Dark - CEO of an insurance company. Enough said.

Maybe it’s just me, but with all the buzz about kpop demon hunters, it really surprised me that people don’t seem to talk about the fact that Rumi asked essentially her mother figure to “do what she should have done long ago” and probably decapitate her. That seems like a facet of her repressed trauma and self hatred that maybe should be addressed…

you are so right but here it is. here is the earth. damn that is a sweet earth you might say. ROUND. but

the ml writers don’t think so. they are le tired. fire ze missiles! they are zoe and socqueline and it is season 5. the missiles are laser targeted to the gaps in the narrative that adrien, chloe, and alya could have filled. maybe all blondes with shitty parents are interchangeable. maybe marinette can just switch one savior for another. maybe the fans won’t notice that the characters they’ve been invested in since season one have their screen time and purpose split with a character who was just introduced. and if they do notice, those fans are just salty and not real fans so we can dismiss them. who cares that they’ve spent countless words and energy defending their faves for the first 3 seasons if they’re not willing to automatically love these new characters that we tell them to love without question.

admittedly. i am an alya stan and not a chloe stan. so i have my own biases! but zoe and socqueline and both late additions that we are told we are supposed to like, even as they take screen time and meaning away from the characters we’ve spent years invested in. they aren’t bad characters but they haven’t earned the loyalty the show wants us to give them. and they aren’t worth pushing the characters we are already invested in - for better or worse - to the back burner.
